Why Give? 
Scriptural Principles

A tithe is 10% of your income given to the local church. The Bible teaches us the principle of tithing -- not because God needs our money (He owns it all anyway) -- but because it demonstrates our devotion to Him and selflessness to support His Kingdom.

The amount you donate is tax-deductible. 

Personal Satisfaction
Knowing that you sacrificed something such as time, finances, or property in order to help others in need can give you a sense of purpose in life or work and inner satisfaction. 

Awareness
By researching and giving to a cause, you become more educated about needs around the world. You may discover new information about which you were previously uninformed. Increasing your awareness in this way will also enable you to better support these needs in prayer. 

Spiritual Blessings
Selfless giving is a key component in our spiritual growth. When people give, most often they receive blessings in return.
